Former Indianapolis Colts star Adam Vinas, who helped launch the “American Businessman” manifesto, has penned an open letter that will serve as a guidepost for aspiring entrepreneurs to follow.
The manifesto, which was inspired by Vinas’ time in New York, will serve to inspire entrepreneurs of all backgrounds to embrace their entrepreneurial impulses, said Vinas in a statement to NFL Media.
The American Businessman manifesto was written in a yearlong study that focused on how to make a difference in the lives of people.
The “American Entrepreneur,” which Vinas is co-authoring with his wife, Sarah, is an open manifesto that highlights the importance of building a team of like-minded people to help others.
“I want you to realize that we can all help each other, regardless of what our skill set is or how we grew up, because our common goal is to make the world better,” he wrote in the open letter.
The manifesto will be shared at the NFL Annual Meeting, which takes place June 9 in Phoenix.”
The American Businesswoman manifesto is not a business manifesto, but it is a call to action for anyone who wants to make life better for others.

Vinas, 34, became a household name after his epic 2011 season, when he became the first player to score a career-high 100 points in back-to-back games.
The Colts selected him in the second round of the 2010 draft and he went on to record 1,527 career receptions, 3,633 yards and 14 touchdowns.

The NFL released a video on Tuesday showing the former Colts wideout at his NFL Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
He thanked his teammates, coaches and teammates for the support.
In the statement, Vinas also thanked his wife Sarah for taking the time to share the manifesto with him.
“We have been fortunate enough to have Sarah’s guidance and support during my time in the NFL,” he writes.
“She has helped me realize that I was making the right choice, and to be truly grateful.
I know I will be back, stronger and more focused in my future.”
Vinatieri, who signed with the Colts in March 2016, also said in his statement that he has always been passionate about social justice and helping the community.
“As an athlete, I know that every game is a privilege, and as a husband and father, I understand the importance and value of a positive impact in the community,” he says.
“I want to thank Sarah and my wife Sarah, along with all of the other passionate people I’ve had the privilege to work with, for their tremendous support during this difficult time.”
