Zach Martin was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, where he has an office in the company’s headquarters building.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Martin is an entrepreneur with a focus on startups.
He is currently working on a venture for a clothing brand that would allow teens to wear their favorite sneakers on social media and in-person.
He also founded and operates an online marketplace called “Lifestyles” to help people find affordable housing, and he is an investor in several high-tech start-ups.
“It’s kind of hard to find a startup that can actually make it to scale,” he said.
“I think the thing that is really important to understand when you’re starting a business is you can’t start something overnight, but the fact that you’re able to scale the business from a point of view of a product or service that’s a good fit for you and your target market.”
The business started as a way to provide a good product to teens, but it’s grown to include a range of products ranging from apparel to home furnishings, and it is currently seeking to expand into other areas, including a video-on-demand platform.
“If I had to pick just one thing that I learned, it would be the value of having a strong social media presence,” Martin said.
“When you’re a young entrepreneur, that’s the first thing you want to know about your business.
It’s something you don’t want to miss.”
Martin has already gotten a lot of feedback from the online community of entrepreneurs and they are generally positive.
“The feedback has been really positive and has helped us grow, so I’m really looking forward to seeing it grow and really seeing the community of young entrepreneurs grow with it,” he added.
“I think we’re all just so blessed to have this opportunity to help make the world a better place.”
